Thank you for visiting the new website of Scenic Designer Elizabeth Newton.  I am very excited to share with you my work, both academic and professional.  I recently graduated with an MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Southern Mississippi and am looking forward to the next step in my career.

Over the past ten years I have had many amazing, rewarding experiences that have impacted me as a person and as a designer.  When I was a freshman in college I had the opportunity to participate in a three month summer study abroad program during which I was able to visit eight different countries.  I have also been able to work with various theatre companies in the Raleigh, NC area as well as in New York, Virginia, Oklahoma, and now Mississippi.  As a Scenic Designer and Painter, I have met many talented individuals and gleaned many important lessons throughout my experiences.  I look forward to the exciting journey to come and wherever it may take me.
